Stage Build Time Lapse

Time lapse footage of the stage build, performance, and strike of Lady Gaga’s 2012-2013 Born This Way Ball world tour – the largest scenic structure ever been built to tour.

The stage and set had many capabilities and functions, including 30 active windows and doors, each with a custom scenic painted roll drop which revealed different scenes within the various rooms of the castle, two swing walls which opened to reveal the 50 foot tall castle behind it, 620 feet of custom LED lights and two sets of automated castle gates that opened and closed to a full 180 degrees.

It took fifteen 53 foot long tractor trailers to move the castle and the main stage, and there are approximately 200 set carts that all of the elements travel in. To put that in perspective, if all of the set carts were lined up end to end, they would span approximately 1600 feet in length, the equivalent of over 5 football fields. (text: LadyGaga.com)

“Art becomes life, and life becomes art. 1976 journeys through the ghettos and farmlands and lifestyles of Cuba as scenes build and unfold blurring the distinction between the ideology of propaganda and the everyday reality of struggling to survive.

The idea for this music video was to capture the flair of the track’s distinct sound. Using original photography shot in Cuba, the flowing camera movement was inspired by the addictive melody. We decided not to burden the viewer with too many visuals, but instead rely on the strong compositions in each photograph to create the magnetism.” By Leftchannel

Improv Everywhere – The Boardroom

For our latest mission, a group of 24 actors between the ages of 48 and 78 staged an unauthorized boardroom meeting in the office chair department of a Staples. The chairs in this particular office supply store were already arranged in a boardroom configuration, making it easy for us to hold a surprise meeting. Actor Will Hines gave a presentation to the board, using a whiteboard and an easel he had bought from the store just minutes prior. Minutes into the meeting, the board was asked to leave by a confused store manager.

On a little datcha on the Russian countryside a hedgehog mother died in a tragic accident, leaving her poor little kids as orphans. Luckily ginger cat Sonya came to rescue the unlucky babies ! And now she is proudly feeding her own kitten and the four foster hedgehog babies… I just wonder if Sonya the cat also licks them :’)
